| Wray Davis Williamson Celebrating 20 Years of Tour of Homes & Gardens Artwork: For twenty years Wray Davis Williamson has donated her time and talent to capture the beauty of our historic city for the Savannah Tour of Homes and Gardens.
Wray's love of art began very early in her life and at the age of nine she began painting in oils. After trying acrylics she ultimately found her favorite medium to be watercolor.
Wray's favorite mode of transportation is biking, and she finds inspiration while riding her bike around Savannah's live oak- laden squares and through her historic streets. At times she can be seen sketching or painting artwork for her posters.
Her love of animals, especially cats, is evident in her creations as felines peer from behind flowers or lounge on steps or porches.
To celebrate Wray's twentieth year as poster artist the Tour is offering a complimentary conversation time to better acquaint tour-goers with Wray, her history, and her process. This event will take place from 1:30 till 2:30 on Thursday and Friday, March 22nd and 23rd. At the end of each session she will be happy to sign posters.
Past and present years' posters are available for purchase from the website and at the gift shop during the Tour. In addition, they have reserved luncheons at Paula Deen's restaurant and Mrs. Wilkes' Boarding House. The Georgian Silver Seminar is wonderful as well as the other Seminars and Special Events. All this at the height of the Spring flowers blooming. All proceeds go to charities and historic preservation. You can walk your feet off, but what a great time!"
